The Center for Information Resources and Technologies performs activities in the field of information technologies in education and research activities of the University.

MAIN GOALS:

• Creation, development and support of the research and educational environment of the University based on modern information technologies for educational, organizational, managerial, financial, economic and research activities;

• Information and technological support of the training process at the University;

• Arranging and implementation of uninterrupted software and hardware support of the University’s PC environment;

• Supply of PCs and copying equipment to the University;

• Creation, maintenance and development of the University’s data processing center and the information and telecommunication network;

• Introduction of modern technical training equipment in the educational process of the University, support of the training process at the University with technical means of training;

• Provision of IT equipment for research of graduate students, teachers and students of the University;

• Development and maintenance of the University’s website;

• Support of computer classes at the University;

• Advanced training of specialists of the Center, providing assistance and consulting of employees of other departments of the University.


The Kutafin University (MSAL) Center for Information Resources and Technologies offers to students the facilities for modern information services and multimedia equipment.

The lecture halls are connected to the centralized audio/video broadcasting system (multimedia equipment monitoring and management) covering 13 rooms equipping teachers with a wide range of options: demonstration of presentations, audio/video materials and lecture recordings.

The University has implemented the modern self-service training classroom projects with maximum benefits for the trainers. The rooms are equipped with multimedia projectors with interactive features and interactive whiteboards.

Computer classes controlled centrally are actively used in the educational process. Due to the increased need for the use of e-resources in education, the University offers mobile computer classes.

A multifunctional wireless WiFi-network covers all buildings of the University, including the dormitories.

The reader workplaces at study halls and the media center of the MSAL Library are equipped with PCs and automation of library and bibliographic processes is achieved using modern software. The documents are issued in reading rooms and on subscription with the help of the electronic system, online search for books and remote requests are available through the electronic catalogue.

To ensure 24/7 remote access to training literature, Virtual Reading Room project has been implemented - it enables users to access full-text electronic publications, including external e- library systems such as PROSPECT, YURAYT, BOOK.RU, ZNANIUM, POLPRED.COM, the resources of B.N. Yeltsin Presidential Library, e-library of dissertations of the Russian State Library, Research electronic library (e-Library), Web Of Science, Scopus, NEICON Russian platform of research journals, EBSCOHost and Westlaw.

Information and analytical systems “Antiplagiat” and VKR “VUZ” help to ensure high quality rating of the student graduation qualification papers and dissertation research works.

The unified domain policy and powerful network infrastructure provide access for the students to the University servers with reference and legal systems “Garant”, “Consultant+”, “Consultant: region”, “Expert legal system “LEXPRO”, Kontinent information system and Kodeks always available to users.

The video surveillance ensures a high level of security. The study schedule at the University is made online using the training process management system.

In order to expand the opportunities of inclusive education, the University is working on creation of an interactive database of video lectures, e-learning, methodological and other materials.
