The Center for Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution in Legal Practice is a structural subdivision of Kutafin Moscow State Law University performing educational, methodological, research, consulting and practical activities related to mediation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
THE CENTER'S GOALS:
• supply the needs of representatives of various legal professions in new, additional knowledge and skills in the field of mediation.
• support the development and promotion of mediation and ADR.
• develop, implement and improve educational programs and curricula, manuals, lectures and other training and methodology documents/materials, including e-versions.
• introduce mediation and ADR in the system of legal personnel training (various areas and specializations) and advanced training of lawyers and other legal professionals.
• Training of professional mediators, mediation and ADR teachers and trainers, and support of their qualifications to supply staff for higher professional education organizations in the field of law.
TRAINING ACTIVITIES AT THE CENTER
The Center applies research and methodological developments, educational programs, plans and methods of the Center for Mediation and Law (autonomous non-profit organization) - the first leading Russian organization in the field of mediation/ADR with many years of experience in training professional mediators.
The curricula consider the available foreign experience in ADR training methods adapted to the Russian sociocultural specifics. Online training is performed by the coaching and teaching staff of the Center for Mediation and Law.
The center offers continued education programs, advanced training and professional retraining in mediation for representatives of various legal specializations and professionals involved in concluding deals, consideration of claims and conflict resolution.
The training program in mediation implemented by the Center is approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation upon consultation with the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation (order No. 187 of February 14, 2011).
