We invite you to take part in the Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation on the topic: ‘The role of forensic science in addressing information (worldview) threats in the Internet environment’ (hereinafter referred to as the Conference) organized by the Department of Forensic Expertise at the Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) jointly with the Russian Federal Center of Forensic Science of the Ministry of Justice (RFCFS) and the MSAL Center for Academic Development and Educational Innovations.
The conference will be held virtually using the platform Zoom on December 3, 2020 from 11:00. The Conference program and a Zoom link to the Conference will be sent via e-mail.
The goal of the Conference is to discuss theoretical and applied issues of forensic and complex legal and linguistic support of information (worldview) security in the Internet environment. The main topics of the Conference include (but are not limited to):
1. Discussion on the use of special knowledge to ensure information and worldview security in Internet media (e.g. issues of countering extremist activities; bullying, trolling, propaganda of suicide; human violence; sexting; grooming etc.)
2. The forensic problems of using special knowledge in the study of malicious software, counterfeit and undocumented information and computer products.
The Conference program will also feature:
Open discussion session ‘Forensic linguistic analysis of information products: does it help or hinder justice?’ (Chair – Prof. Galyashina E. I.)

To take part in the Conference, please complete the registration form until November 25, 2020. and submit thesis of the report (in Russian or English) by e-mail to vdnikishin@msal.ru before December 1, 2020. Conference paper guidelines can be found in Appendix 1.
Publication in ‘Theory and Practice of Forensic Science’, ‘The Actual Problems of the Russian Law Journal’, ‘Russian Law Online’, ‘Kutafin University Law Review’, ‘Bulletin of Criminalistics’ is possible after receiving a positive review. Manuscript submission guidelines will be sent to participants via e-mail after the Conference.
