On April 5, 2019 the conference on scientific and practical aspects “Modern problems of legal regulation of investment: the experience of Russia, Europe, Asia and Latin America” was held at the University O E Kutafin (MSAL). The event was held within the framework of the VI Moscow Legal Forum “The Russian Legal System in the Fourth Industrial Revolution”. The conference included a solemn signing of a cooperation agreement between the International Union of Lawyers and Economists (France) and the Association of Russian Diplomats (Russia) and a ceremonial signing of a cooperation agreement between the International Union of Lawyers and Economists (France) and the Russian-Asian Lawyers Association (Russia). The role of law in ensuring the development of the economy is difficult to overestimate. The investment climate largely depends on the conditions of legal support for investments, on the availability of adequate legal means for the implementation of investment projects, and on consolidated guarantees for the protection of investor’s rights and legitimate interests. The Law also plays an important role in attracting foreign investment to Russian economy. As part of the discussion at the conference, the speakers considered what trends and prospects are emerging in the development of investment legislation in Russia and foreign countries. The Rector at Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL), Chairman of the Russian Lawyer’s Association, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation, Viktor Blazheev addressed the participants and guests of with a welcoming speech, noted the relevance of the roundtable topic and the importance of regulation of investment activities for both Russian and foreign law.
