I Winter School of Foreign Law “Law and Technology: New Challenges under Digitalization”

School of Foreign Law becomes a good tradition at the Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL). Summer School of Foreign Law 2020 gathered students from Russia, France, Australia, USA, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vietnam and Ireland, lectures and master classes were given by leading experts from foreign universities, including the University Toulouse 1 Capitole (France), University Cote d’Azur (France), Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University (France), Tallinn University (Estonia), King’s College London (UK), University of Illinois (USA), Stanford University (USA), University of Naples Federico II (Italy), Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Pomeranian Academy in Słupsk (Poland), Matej Bel University (Slovakia), Pavol Jozef Safarik University (Slovakia), University of Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

On January 19 - 20, 202 Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) holds I Winter School of Foreign Law (in Zoom platform). Topic of the school: “Law and Technology: New Challenges under Digitalization”. During two days the participants will be offered a course of lectures from specialists of leading universities and international organizations. Speakers will not only reveal the topical issues of law, but also present case studies from practice. 30-minute classes will be organized in the form of lectures or interactive master classes. Participation is available for bachelor, specialist (after 1 year) and master students from all countries.

Within the Winter School of Foreign Law it is planned to hold lectures in the following topics:

• Legal science and digital technologies;

• Digital law and its role in the development of digital technologies;

• Technological innovations in law;

• Development of digital technologies in the field of intellectual property;

• Law and digital technologies in the normative activity;

• Electronic justice and digital technologies;

• Digital technologies in Private International law.

January 20

• Dynamics of development of the Constitutional framework of law in the conditions of digitalization;

• Transformation of mandatory law in the conditions of digital technologies creation;

• Artificial intelligence, digital technologies and law: current trends and dynamics of development;

• Features of application of legal norms and use of digital technologies in rendering public services;

• Legal aspects of nanotechnology development;

• Law and technologies in medical activity.

At the end of the School on Foreign Law, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance.
