The history of the Forum began in 2014, when two major international conferences traditionally held by the Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL), Kutafin Readings and the Young Scholars Conference on Traditions and Innovations in the Modern Russian Legal System, as well as a number of roundtables and discussion panels were combined into one scientific forum.

The Forum is an open and permanent platform for legal cooperation and professional exchange of experience and ideas among lawyers.

Over 6,000 participants have attended the Forum over the years and interest in attending is increasing every year. The topics of the Forum focus on current issues facing the legal sciences, improving Russian legislation and reforming legal education, as reflected in the topics of the past Forum sessions:

"STATE SOVEREIGNTY AND THE SUPREMACY OF LAW: INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL ASPECTS".
